Good day!!! Smell that crisp Autumn air, crunch through those fallen leaves and drink hot April Cider. What a beautiful Fall day! Okay....so it's still Summer but I couldn't resist using my new Windswept Fhiona that I picked up from Amy's house while I was visiting her store Paper Romance.

Your Next Stamp Challenge- use summer colours!

This week's YNS challenge is to make a card using some bright summery colours. I used Mini Fairy Fhiona and made a 5.25x5.25 square card to keep the size of the card relative to the size of this uber cute stamp. As we needed bright colours I used my new sheets of Echo park summer paper and it even had clouds on it for my pretty fairy Fhiona- seriously perfect! I coloured her with copics and added stickles to her wings as of course fairy wings need to sparkle. A bit of ribbon, some flowers and a small Prima pebble finish this card off. I got a huge seal of approval from everyone at my house on this card- even our toddler guests told me how 'purdy' she is. I hope you like it too! Birthday Blog Hop for Your Next Stamp!

Today is a very special day as Your Next Stamp is celebrating its very 1st birthday with a Birthday Blog Hop!

I am so excited to be one of Your Next Stamp's August guest designers! My first post is playing along with the challenge this week which is to make a birthday themed card. I used Cupcake Cutie Fhiona which has been featured on my blog a few times as she is perfect for any celebration card. I also used a sketch from Jen Del Muro's blog as she has a weekly sketch that I love to use.

Paper Romance play time

I have been having so much fun playing with my stamps from Paper Romance. I had mentioned previously how this stamp from Your Next Stamp reminds me of Rainbow Brite and how I made a card with that inspiration, here is that card. I used some of my paper from October Afternoon, some black grosgrain ribbon and also some paper ribbon from Basic Grey. She is sooo fun to colour I have to get some more Fhiona stamps and the mermaid ones too.

Here is another card I made with my stamps from Amy featuring Popcorn the Bear. I fell in love with this sweet fishing scene and I knew it would be perfect for a Father's Day Card or even a birthday card for a fisherman. I enjoyed colouring the image but I still need to practice my Popcorn the Bear colouring. Well...practice makes perfect so I guess I just need to spend lots more time with my copics hee hee. Yep, basically I think I will ground myself for at least a full day locked in my craft room- oh the torture! It will give me time to watch the Youtube video Suzanne Dean also on the Paper Romance DT did on how to colour Popcorn..I think I need to watch it a second..maybe a third time tee hee.

Guess what! I am a Guest DT for Paper Romance!!!

I am so excited to share that I am a guest DT for Paper Romance! My friend Amy opened her online store a few months ago and carries some really sweet stamps such as Your Next Stamp, High Hopes, Popcorn the Bearn, Cute Companions and she just got in today Bildmalarna! She also carries embellishments and stamping supplies and much more. I wish Amy nothing but success in her still new business venture and I am so honoured to be part of her team this month.

I used Cupcake Cutie Fhiona for my first Paper Romance share. I had to have this set! It reminds me of Rainbow Brite. Not sure why..but she does. I have made another card with her as a Rainbow girl. I used some of my new October Afternoon paper that I can't get enough of and some prism cardstock. Amy also sent some of these fun jewels with my DT stamps and I wanted to include them on my card. This pic doesn't do them justice. I am having a heck of a time photographing my cards since my photo tent lights bit the dust and I don't have any good light in my house. If you have any good tips or links to photographing cards please send them my way.
