Crazy 4 Challenges- Colour Challenge!

Saturday means another awesome Crazy 4 Challenges inspiration! Silke has given us a fun one this week- use yellow/green/pink/blue on your cards. As well we have a sponsor for our challenge- The Greeting Farm!

I used a TGF image I have had and enjoyed for years. I have to admit this colour challenge had me stumped until I spotted the paper I had just used on my card the other day that I posted- score! If I had of cleaned up my work area I may not have realized what perfect paper it was. So basically I have just justified not cleaning my craft room for another week lol!

I have an oops that I have to share as well. I forgot to post my card for last week's challenge as I had a crazy busy weekend that I wasn't expecting but I wanted to post. This was for last week's white on white card with a hint of colour using a cute Hero Arts set:

Great challenges so far this month Silke! Hop on over to the C4C site to see more amazing inspiration from the Crazies and the full deets to join us!

Cheers, Andrea

Introducing the *new and improved* SGD card kits!!!

SGD has revamped their card kits to make it easier to make full cards each month using your kit supplies and your choice of stamp! We have taken the guess work out of our previous card kits and include step by step instructions on how to cut and assemble your cards.

Of course you can make your cards anyway you choose!

Each card kit gives you 2 card designs and the exact amount of supplies to make 3 cards of each design- that gives you your 6 full cards!

This month`s stamp choices are Witchypoo, Baby Trick or Treat Witch, or Wednesday.  You can see the 2 card designs in the pictures above as well as the stamp choices.

Kits can be found by at Scrappingreatdeals online and in the store while supplies last. Don`t forget if you join the monthly kit program for 6 months you get 15% off the regular price of these kits.

Now let`s get crafty!!!

Ready for another Diedrich dare? It's a colour challenge!

Get yer Whimsy on with us Daredevils this week as we are inspired by colour this time. Nicky challenged us with the colours of yellow, green, white and black and it had boy written all over for me. All I could think of was dinosaurs. This great image from The Greeting Farm (who are also our prize sponsors for this month woot woot) was perfect and I used my Basic Grey stash to pull out the exact colours I needed- sweet. Love when it all comes together like that! I must say I am LOVING being part of this team and the cool challenges each week. Oh I almost forgot to mention I coloured this sweet boy's hair black to play along with the copic creations challenge blog this week too as black hair truly is a challenge for me tee hee. I am thinking it turned out not to bad eh?

If you want to play along this week, use keyword DDSC32 and then link it to Mr Linky at the bottom of this post. Also click here to go to the challenge blog and peek at what our featured Daredevil Kim made and also to see the details for this week's challenge. If you have already been to the blog and are hopping along here are the rest of the Daredevil's to help stir up that mojo.

It's a Whimsical Wednesday with The Greeting Farm

**edited to add that I am not sure why my photo looks fuzzy a wee bit but if you click on it it's nice and sharp =)** April at the Whimsical Wednesday blog is sponsored by one of my fave companies The Greeting Farm. As you may know from some of my older posts I love those big headed kids! Our dare is to use the photo above to inspire us. I want to be a little girl and have that room! Lucky for me I have tons of paper in these colours and I dove into my Valentine's day stash to see what I could use. I found not only the paper colours I needed but also this groovy sparkley frame. I also found this Princess Anya image that I had already coloured. Lucky! This card was super fun to put together and so much so my youngest DD wanted to make one as well and wanted me to post it tee hee. Can't resist her when she is taking after her mama.
To see more about this week's challenge and the prize from TGF up for grabs please click here to go to the challenge blog. Now grab a cup of tea and hop around to the other Daredevils and see what yummy creations they have to share. Have a great day! Andrea

Copic help- hair colours

I hope you are all having a good day. I was until a few minutes ago and now I am in the middle of a wee temper tantrum I am ashamed to admit. This is the third time I am writing this post. The first one left when I went to make something a capital and the entire thing became highlighted and deleted. Not sure how I pulled off that magic trick. The second time thankfully I was only a bit into the post when POOF it left the screen. Now I am saving constantly lolz. Lesson learned. I wanted to share todaywhat colours I use to colour hair as I had showed a few of my friends the other day. These cards are very basic in terms of layout as the focus was on colouring. I want to share I got my hair colours from The Greeting Farm blog who also make these adorable stamps so I can take no credit for the colour combos. A piece of advice is to keep your blender pen handy to erase mistakes as its all about layering ink and colours so it can sometimes spread a wee bit. I like to call the blender pen my fave copic colour as I use it more than any of my other copic markers lol.

Black, grey, white and yellow card:
On this card I used the following colours-
Hair- C3, C6, C7 and 100 (black) but some found it better to use C9 as it does move a bit better to blend than black
Skin- E000, E00, E11 and using E00 I swiped it on an R20 marker to get the cheek colour
Dress and flower petals- Y11, Y15
Petticoat- C4+C5 on pockets, C6+C7 on rest of dress
I then outlined her in C1 and added a bit in the middle of the white flower centre to add some shading

Easter Card-
Hair- E25, E27, E31, E49
Bunny ears- outside- RV32, RV34 and inside- V000, V01
Dress, tights, shoes- RV32, RV34, V12, V15
Easter egg basket and eggs- Y00, Y02, BG13, BG23, YG, 23, YG25, V01
Skin- E000, E00, E11 and same as above for cheeks using R20
Outline- BG10

Hope this helps and I encourage you to go to The Greeting Farm blog for other hair colour suggestions :)

Cheers, Andrea

Anya stamps- new Big headed kid stamps woot woot!!!

Picture the Stevie wonder song playing in the background here ...'isn't she lovely....' okay I don't remember the rest of the song but you know what I mean lol!!!! I wanted to share the 2 cards I will be teaching this coming Sunday at SGD at our monthly copic class featuring Greeting farm stamps. I HAD to use her- I mean her cuteness is too much!!!! The stamp is actually called Snuggle. too much! And the other card...okay...it's oozing with vampire loveliness....the Greeting Farm has an Edward stamp!!! I don't know if you can see it in this pic (maybe click on it to make it larger) but his skin sparkles like another Edward I know.....sigh....sorry I have advance screening tickets to see New Moon and I am getting to be on Edward alert!!!!! If you have time this coming Sunday contact SGD and come and join Kimmie and I at our class. If you can't come but would like a card kit we sell the class kit for $12 with a limit of 4 kits made up. I would love to see you there so hopefully you can make it, we always have so much fun!!!! Cheers, Andrea
