Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Weekly Challenge- I smell Spring Flowers...

I'm the hostess for this week's KKS weekly challenge and I am feeling Springy so I challenge you to use 'May flowers' on your card. We have been  having lots of April showers so I felt it only fitting that May flowers make an appearance here and thankfully also in my garden.

Flowers and today's Royal Wedding make me think of England's wild garden's and of course the faeries I know are flying around in them. So on my garden card I have flowers and a fairy. I coloured up Isabelle and used one of my fave colour combos pink, white and teal. I embossed a piece of wax paper with my swiss dots cuttlebug folder and then cut out my flower using Tim Holtz's tattered flowers. Layered some more flowers, added some crystals and then topped it off with icing..I mean some tasty crinkled ribbon.

Come play along with us today at the KKS challenge blog and also see what else the Krafty girls have created to show some May flowers!

Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and CPS are playing together...

Card Positioning Systems is one of the TOP go to sketch sites for me and many of my crafty friends. Not only do they feature a new sketch each week but when you play along you are also entered to win a prize from that week's sponsor. This week its Kraftin' Kimmie stamps turn to be the hostest with the mostest! I used this week's sketch above to create a card showing up the hilarious Krafty Quote by Gloria Steinem. My youngest read it and was quite puzzled at first. She said 'but mom..fish don't need bicycles?' and when I replied exactly she thought about it for a min and then her face lit up when she got it hee hee. What a smart cookie! I am teaching them that they don't NEED a man to be happy but it is wonderful to find one that they WANT to spend their lives with.

Deep thought eh?

Yep I have had 3 cups of super sized teas today and I am on a roll! LMBO!

To see more details about playing along hop on over to the CPS challenge blog and see more samples from Krafty Girls and also the CSP design team. Uber talents over there ladies! Enjoy! Andi

Happy Easter to all of you!

Happy Easter to you and your loved ones today! We have had a wonderful family filled weekend here at our house and we were so happy to share our Easter morning and egg hunt with my sister and her daughter who we haven't been able to see for about a year and a half. A lot of laughs this weekend let me tell you. And already feeling the chocolate overdose but I am soldering on lol!

I am sharing a card I made today using my beloved Whipper Snapper images. This one is using Ester Bunny and I spent about 2 hours colouring this image just enjoying the blending and shading and using all these fun colours. You can always tell when I love an image when I go overboard on how long it takes me to colour it lol! Some patterned paper and my lovely new to me dyed seam binding ribbon and voila- a bright cheery Easter card.

Well just a quick hello from me today as we are heading out to share a dinner with some of our favourite people. Cheers, Andi

KKS challenge- make it Frilly..

This week's KKS challenge is to add frilly ribbon or lace to your creation. Easy for me as I rarely don't put ribbon on my card. I made this card in between visiting with my sister and my niece who I haven't seen in a really long time. I wore my sister out and she had a nap and gave me a chance to create. I made this card with my fave Pink Paislee paper that keeps popping up on my cards and one of the great new April Kraftin' Kimmie quote stamps by Lucille Ball. Some lace, silk ribbon and bam- frilly lacy loveliness hee hee!

To play along with us and read the full challenge deets hop on over to the KKS challenge blog and see all the rest of the frilly creations that the Krafty Girls have created.

Just a quick post from me as I actually now have all 3 of my siblings here- something that hasn't happened in years! We can't stop laughing and eating great food together. I hope you all have a lovely Easter Weekend filled with blessings, family, friends and good food. Oh and lots of chocolate of course...dark chocolate ..

High Hopes Stamps challenge- Bunnies, Bears and Balloons...OH MY!

Bunnies, Bears or Balloons...OH MY! This week's challenge reminds me of one of my fave movies The Wizard of Oz and the famous line "Lions, Tigers and bears...oh my!". I used the brand spanking new stamp 'Sitting Buddy with a balloon' on my card today and was able to use Bear and Balloon for the challenge. 2 out of 3 isn't pretty good I think! I used the following colours on the bear- E42, 43, 44, 47 for those of you who are interested.

Want to play along with us to win some High Hope stamps? Hop on over to the HHS challenge blog to see the full deets and to also see lots of HHS Diva samples to help get your mojo fired up today!

KKS Weekly Challenge....BINGO!

Krafty Girl Tara has thought up the most amazing and fun challenge for this week...BINGO!!! Whoa....get back here...I see you all running off collecting your troll dolls and bingo daubers but you won't need them for this kind of bingo. Which is kinda good because I have no idea where I put my troll doll all those years ago ;). Probably with my scrunchies, leg warmers and walkman. I still say it was a good look eh ladies...hee hee

Tara's challenge is fun and simple. You choose a row on the bingo card and your card must somewhere include all items in that row. For mine it was dry (or wet) embossing, ribbon or twine and buttons. Easy Peasy lemon squeezy! Hop on over to the KKS challenge blog to see the bingo card and the rest of the fairy sneak peeks. Amazing job ladies!

Also on my card is Annie`s newest line for KKS...her mini fairies. I am in love. Yes I realize I fall in love with crafty items fast and easily but these girls...they own my heart. I am such a fairy girl as shared in my first sneak peek this week. Didya like how I slipped in that forshadowing hee hee. I am feeling a wee bit tricky myself this week. This adorable cheeky fairy is Clarabelle and I cannot get over her cayuoote butt! I went a bit different and gave her green skin so hubby calls her my alien fairy. I used the following copics if you are interested in using this look-
G40, 82, 94
BG05, 07, 09, 10
V20, 25, 99
R20

KKS Sneaky Peeky Day 2- Dancing Dylan is going to flutter into your heart

Tell me this little cutie doesn't melt your heart! She is named after one of my favourite little people- Angie's daughter Dylan. She and her sister are just so cute and so funny! Whenever I go to Angie's house I love to get those 2 talking and hear them tell me funny stories about their parents and family. I 'may' pry a little bit just to hear them chat about things from their perspective then I try hard to keep a straight face and act all serious hee hee!

To switch things up Steven Leary made all kinds of little people for this month's release. They remind me of Fisher Price peeps personally and I love them for it. All the DT are sharing Steven's art work today so you will see lots of 'mini's' as you hop around. The full list of DT showing cards can be found at the KKS Challenge blog.

Are you loving the peeks so far? Excited for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps release this Sunday? If you think you are in love now just wait to you sell all the new stamps. I have a bad case of rubber lust!

Cheers, Andi

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April Sneak Peeks....

Today is the first day KKS is sharing sneak peeks of the cute April stamps being released this Sunday. Today all of the KKS Krafty Girls and Guests are showing off some amazing quotes from the soon to be released 'Krafty Quotes #3!' set. For all of the links to the Krafty girls who are sharing peeks today hop over to the KKS challenge blog for the full list.

I decided to work with the uber cool Katherine Hepburn's quote first. That woman rocked! She was such a rule breaker for her time. Smoking, pants and well....the affair thing *cough cough*. She broke rules and stood proud refusing to give in to what society expected her to be like. While I may not agree with all her choices I applaud her desire to stand tall and be different.

When I picked this quote to share today I wanted to give it a fairytale look because believing in fairy tales goes against 'the rules'. This amazing Pink Paislee paper and accessories from SGD is perfectly perfect! I mean cause heaven forbid if as an adult you profess a belief in Faeries. Which is funny because when you travel to most places in the world other than Canada and the USA you will find grown adults do just that freely. I for once was not a total 'nutcase' for not wanting to give up on one of my fave childhood beliefs...that if I just looked hard enough and fast enough I would catch one of them looking at me before they ducked away. With the love of fairies I see all over crafts in blogasphere I am pretty sure I have other rule breakers in my corner who in a small place in their heart still think that one day if they turn their head in time while walking in the words we will see one flying by.

Cheers, Andrea

Yep today is my birthday. I am turning 40. Phew. I said it. I don't feel 40...I don't think I look 40...I certainly don't ACT 40....not that I know what that age looks or acts like but I still picture me as this young cool hip chick and only when I look in the mirror am I shocked to see who is staring back lmbo! I am excited to be spending the day in crafty heaven with some good friends so just a quick post from me today so that I can get back to acting like a spoiled princess hee hee!

Today's KKS weekly challenge is a sketch. I used Diana which is one of the latest releases and is actually named after Kimmie's mom who just adores children. So I made her adopt me. Cause I act like a child ;P.

To play along with us today hop on over to the KKS challenge blog to see the sketch and also to see more delicious cards from the Krafty girls to get your mojo flowing!

I know time's been a 'draggin' since yesterday's High Hopes Stamps sneak peek..

I know I know..it's been PAINFUL waiting for the next High Hope Stamps preview so I just couldn't keep you waiting any longer hee hee. Here is one of Dustin's Dragons with an adventurer flair. I had SO MUCH FUN colouring him! I used my copics and just dotted. That's it, no small circles, no brushstrokes or flicking...just dot dot dot. I actually remember what greens I used which is shocking for me hee hee- G40, 82, 85, 94, 99. I think he looks all scaly and texturized- hope you do too! He's all ready to go looking for treasure or maybe lions..or if he is like my nephews then its yucky bugs that make Auntie screech a little bit and ask you to stay at least 20 feet away lol!

All the High Hopes Divas are sharing Dustin's Dragons so pop on over to the High Hopes blog for all the DT links. They are blazingly good!

High Hopes Stamps- it's challenge time and new release sneak peeks!

Aren't sneak peeks so much fun! This week's HHS challenge is to make 'one for the boys'. This new release has TONS of images great for the males in our life and this cute robot is one of them. I am IN LOVE with robot stamps. I hadn't paid them much mind other than thinking how cute they were till they crossed my desk and one card in and I am hooked. I can't wait to make more cards with these and colour them up in different colours. Even my hubby commented on how much he liked my card- now that is high praise indeed lol!

I used Jen Del Muro's awesome April sketch to shape my card and I can't thank her enough, this sketch is awesome and will be used time and time again.

To play along with us and win some stamps hop on over to the challenge blog and even better see more fabulous sneak peeks!

Come back tomorrow for another preview before our big release on Thursday!
