Hip Hop- The New Ippity Release!

Hip Hopping with Unity this week to share the newest - coolest- Ippity release!

I am using the 'Oh My Darling' set and I used all but one of the sweet stamps included. I can not resist images that are sewing- let alone vintage themed. Swoon! Ms. Angie Blom- you sure know how to draw straight into this girl's heart!!

I went through my massive 6x6 paper stash and found these pastel papers in the MME Be Happy pack. Add a doily, seam binding and a sewing themed button and done! Again- with all these cute images I just used them to further embellish my card. Love love love!

C4C- Sketch time using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Crazy 4 Challenges has a fun sketch for you to try today. I used a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image I received but didn't have a chance to put on a card till now. She is from the Girls Just wanna Have fun set at KKS. BTW- has anyone else found very limited time for crafting this past Summer? I am just so glad I had this adorable image already coloured and waiting for me on my craft table. And a sketch...well that is this girl's idea of a crafty good time! I flipped the sketch to accommodate the size of the image on my A2 sized card. I love how it turned out! I also put a lot of 'dreamy' border around the card as I wanted to give the whole card a whimsical dreamy look to suit the image. One of my bff's has a birthday coming up shortly and she is an avid reader. In fact today I got her an autographed book from one of her fave author's Kelley Armstrong! I am so going to be in her good books with this card and her autographed book hee hee!!

Come and join us over at C4C and show us what you can do with Silke's great sketch!

Cheers, Andrea

Crazy 4 Challenges- Colour Challenge!

Saturday means another awesome Crazy 4 Challenges inspiration! Silke has given us a fun one this week- use yellow/green/pink/blue on your cards. As well we have a sponsor for our challenge- The Greeting Farm!

I used a TGF image I have had and enjoyed for years. I have to admit this colour challenge had me stumped until I spotted the paper I had just used on my card the other day that I posted- score! If I had of cleaned up my work area I may not have realized what perfect paper it was. So basically I have just justified not cleaning my craft room for another week lol!

I have an oops that I have to share as well. I forgot to post my card for last week's challenge as I had a crazy busy weekend that I wasn't expecting but I wanted to post. This was for last week's white on white card with a hint of colour using a cute Hero Arts set:

Great challenges so far this month Silke! Hop on over to the C4C site to see more amazing inspiration from the Crazies and the full deets to join us!

Cheers, Andrea

Hip Hopping with Unity- This is a Happy Life

I am first up from the Unity blog to start our Hip Hop. This week's stamp of the week by Unity- 'This is a Happy Life' makes me just that...happy. As soon as I saw this doodled image by our own Angie Blom I instantly thought of rainbows and my rainbow paper from Amy Tangerine fit the bill perfectly. Oh Angie, this image is uber adorable!! You go Girl!

I'm not sure how I might use this stamp. It could be for a new homeowner, a birthday, thinking of you or even a reminder for someone to keep looking for rainbows even during dark times.

How would you use this image? If you think you could use this stamp in many ways like I do click here to learn more about the stamp of the week program by Unity. Oh, and because I am so good at being an enabler I should also mention that the itty bitty stamps are marked down to $3.29 each and a free gift with every order!! Over 150 of them!

Up next on our Hip Hop is my supplier of pretty things and cool cards- Eryn!!!

High Hopes Stamps Challenge- Black and White card

Time for a High Hopes Stamps Challenge!

This week's challenge is to make a black and white, greyscale or a sepia card. Or if that is too out of your comfort range (like me) you can make a card with a coloured image but with a black and white card base. Phew! Thank goodness for that last option!

I used the sweet Daisy Button stamp that Karen had stamped out for me. She gave me an AMAZING lesson on how to use my new Derwent Inktense pencils. I was so frustrated by them and she showed me how to make the colour flow just the way I wanted it too. This flower was the first thing I coloured that day and I love how the water colouring looks! Thanks Karen for that awesome and fun lesson!

Feel like playing along with us? Hop on over to the HHS blog and see more amazing samples and the full challenge details!

Cheers- Andrea

For today's card I am sharing one of her new images called 'Wishing We're Forever Friends'. What a sweet image that brings to mind so many things- friendship, hope and dreams. What does it inspire in you?

Crazy 4 Challenges- For the Teachers

Happy Saturday!

It's August so that means a new hostess for our weekly challenges over at Crazy 4 Challenges and Silke has stepped up to the plate! She has us making things for the teachers!

I made this birthday calendar at CHA at a Mixed Media class. I LOVE it!!! I used tons of May Arts, Canvas Corp products along with stencils, paint, etc. The lady who taught the class- Candy- was just brilliant and I highly recommend any of her classes. When you lift up the butterfly book on the wall hanging it has envelopes inside that can store your birthday calendar as well as any cards you are to send that month. This would make an amazing Teacher gift! I know how important it is to be recognized on your birthday by the children in the class so this way the teacher can have all the info in one handy place. Well- at least my kids loved it. They may love their birthday as much as their momma does hee hee!

So grab your cuppa and head on over to C4C to see what the rest of the crazies have made to inspire you this week. We hope you can join us!!

Cheers, Andrea
