Unity Thursday- Playing with the KOTM

So I have to admit that getting my KOTM is still exciting to me even after all these years!
Sooo many stamps in one set
And Angela of Unity adores butterflies
Which is awesome because I can't even have enough butterfly stamps!

When I saw this months I instantly wanted to see it in glitter
I stamped it using Versamark ink and applied some 'Heat and Stick' powder
After I heated up the magic powder I quicky added my glitter over the image
You heat it again to 'seal' the glitter in place and Voila!
Magic :)

You can still get this month's KOTM 'Totally and Utterly Amazing' and other great deals

Soo much rubber goodness....drool

Okay enough from me
Next up is the uber cool Jen!
Don't forget to leave a comment along the way as 3 winners will be chosen to win Unity $$

Crazy 4 Challenges- It's a Doozie!

Happy Friday!!!

Crazy 4 Challenges is back with a DOOZIE this go around!

No 'commercially made' patterned paper.
You can make your own or keep your cards clean and simple.

I love that! Great challenge!

I coloured up this Kraftin' Kimmie image with my copics.
This KKS stamp is one of Cheryl Alger's images called LuLu and Libby

In place of patterned paper I dug out some washi tape, twine and a button.
And a Doily. Can't have a tea party without a doily!

To see more amazing inspiration pop on over to the C4C challenge blog and see what the rest of the Crazies cooked up!

Cheers- Andrea

Crazy 4 Challenges Photo Inspiration

Happy Saturday!!

I'm back today with a fun inspiration challenge from the Crazies over at Crazy for Challenges! I think this photo is so amazing- I have a soft spot for star fishes and one day I want to see one in real life. I hope it is as cool as these ones.

Today's inspiration pic can be interpreted anyway your creativity takes you. The photo is a 'jumping point' to help get your mojo into gear. Personally the colours got me inspired to create a simple clean card. I used images from my April KOTM from Unity - 'You Make my Heart Puffy', some American Crafts pre-scored cards and ribbon. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

Hop on over to the C4C blog to see how the rest of the Crazies were inspired! I already peeked and the creations are amazing!

Cheers, Andrea

Happy first 39th Birthday Suzanne!

Do you know this beautiful person????

Oh wait... ooops...wrong one.   Sorry.  Do you know THIS beautiful person????

Arrrrghhhh... that's NOT her!!!!  Wait wait... let's get this right!!!!  Do you know HER?????

THAT'S her!!!!!!! YES!!!  The BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!!!  Oh and honestly... yeah... those pics above... yep... those REALLY are her too!!! If you know Suzanne J. Dean... you KNOW this!!

Today is Suzanne's birthday and well, we ALL KNOW, Suzanne would NOT want to celebrate a birthday any other way than with her favorite country star AND a favorite sports star!!!  Right???!!!

And also today, Suzanne's, Color Me Creative Design Team wanted to take a little of her time to show her how much we enjoy, appreciate and love her by hopping along to share a little birthday fun and creativity with her.  Join us in wishing her that the next year is filled with even more memories and love than anyone could ever hope for!

The design team went with a "Teal/Aqua" theme today.  Suzanne had mentioned her desire to "look like a mermaid"... LOL... so heck, we'll play along.  (Old age is old age, peeps... just smile and say... "that's nice, honey." LOL)

Tina said this is the spot in the post where we are to share personal feelings and emotions on what Suzanne means to us. Well she's alright I guess. Kinda clumsy and prone to weird situations. The saying 'accident waiting to happen' would apply. Which makes us twins lmbo!!!! I LOVE AND ADORE that girl. Like seriously love but not in a weird stalkerish kinda way. She said she'd tell me when I got to that point. We are 2 peas in a pod when it comes to the bizarre happening to us on a daily basis. Personally I was so relieved to meet someone else who felt like perhaps their life was actually a Reality Show- like that Jim Carrey Movie 'The Truman Show'. What I really love and admire is how she sees it all with a laugh and an appreciation of finding the humour in situations. She is a fantastic storyteller and one of my fave people to room with overnight. We talk and laugh till we fall asleep. Actually till I fall asleep then try to answer her while sleeping. Sorry about that bad advice girl! I am so grateful for this craft that has allowed me to meet so many amazing people and brought Suzanne into my cherished circle of friends.

I am sharing 2 creations that are 'Suzanne' to me. The top card features an image I coloured during my first Suzanne class and I was IN LOVE with how it turned out! I struggle so much when colouring hair and I really felt like I had done a great job capturing the multi-hued shine in this sweet girl's hair. Plus the card has lots of flowers so that is a 'Suzanne-ish' card to me.

The tag I am sharing because Suzanne and I bought this stamp at the same time and bet each other who would use it first. We both thought she would be the clear winner and she even declared winner when she posted hers. That made it even more awesome when I got to share that actually...slow poke Andi used it first lmbo!!! Now we are on for our next challenge and Suzanne has picked out the stamp. I have a feeling I may not be successful this go around. Hmmm...since she volunteered to pick it out and mail me mine....what's stopping her from making her card BEFORE she even sends me mine??? KIDDING SUZANNE!! Hahahaha- that's something I'd do ;)

Okay, time for me to stop yimmer yammering. Now hop along with us to enjoy more of the Design Team's creations for Suzanne.

Thanks for sharing Suzanne's day with us!!  We KNOW you all love her as much as we do and we couldn't be happier to be working with such an awesome lady!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SUZANNE!!!!!
*HUGS*

Happy Birthday Unity!!

What??? 50% the entire website??
That's crazy!!

And a free sentiment stamp for every $5 you spend?
Someone must be crazy...or celebrating.

And the answer to that question is CELEBRATING!!

Unity is turning 5.
Where has the time gone?
I have been following Unity since the beginning
I still remember finding the website with the loud music playing
and the amazing woman posting about her new venture
I felt drawn to her and the company...
I knew Unity was going to be important to me
And it still is...just more so :)
What's awesome is that so many of you feel the same way
Which is a testament to the incredible business
....Or I should say Unity FAMILY...
that Ang and Chris have created
Love you guys!

This celebration is all about THANK YOUS!
We want to thank you for your love and support on this journey
And when I made my first card I was inspired by my hubby
Who supports this made hobby that allows my soul to play
I am sure I am not alone in being so lucky to have a special someone who looks at our cards
and shows 'interest' when we show our new purchases hee hee
So not only do I thank you...
but I thank the ones who are behind us and our passion
I made this card with May's KOTM- 'totally and utterly amazing'
and I got the brilliant idea to stamp on the washi tape
I'm sure it's been done before but I felt smart hee hee!

To continue on with celebrating and Thank You's hop on over to Eryn's blog and don't forget to leave comments at every stop- free rubber to be had!
