Unity Margaret Angie Girl Card

I had soooo much fun colouring up this Angie Girl stamp from Unity Stamps. I haven't coloured folds in clothes in years. Turned out not too bad! The Margaret stamp is perfect for birthday's or any celebration that they may be celebrating.

I don't want to shock anyone but I actually remembered to take a picture of the Copic colours I used in case you want to copy this look. Look at me go!

Hoping you are having a great weekend!

I'm in LOVE with Gina K Designs

Scrappingreatdeals.com now carries Gina K Designs! I used the Nordic Winter set on this card and the Gina K Ink cube add on for 2018 for my inks. I also used my Misti to keep my stamps lined up perfectly.

Oh the Wreath Builder stamps and stencils- Oh how I love thee. These stencils allow you to PERFECTLY line up your images over and over again. Check out Gina's video on how to use it:

We all need this in our life!!!

My last card combines the wreath builder stencil with the Nordic Winter images. I love how cute this is! I have always steered away from making wreaths but now I can easily. Can't stop saying how great this is. Kudos to Gina K for thinking of this!

Cheers, Andrea

Unity stamp creations

So it has been almost 2 years since I have posted to my blog!
Did you miss me?
I missed crafting Andrea- glad I've brought her back.

Today I am sharing 2 cards I made with Unity Stamps from their new release. The first card is with an adorable bunny from the set Easy to Love. I blew the dust of my copics and remembered why I used to love colouring so much. This image was fun to colour and makes me think of Valentine's Day. This this one will be for one of my girls. Who would you give it to? Right now it's on sale from $24 to $10.94 so a great time to add to your collection. Unity stamps are made with red rubber so you get amazing detailed images. I use them in my Misti with the foam insert removed.

Next up is one of the 2 Gnome stamps released this week. I have a thing for gnome stamps- do you? That and fairy stamps. This one is called Lending your Ear and is also on sale from $26 to $11!! I like to keep my Copic coloured cards simple in design so the focus is on the colouring. I felt soooo rusty colouring and blending but I know with practice I'll get back to where I was and hopefully even better. I've started watching youtube videos on colouring to jump start my ability. So far so good lol.

I haven't included the markers used but if you would like to see that let me know and I will take a pic of the markers for future reference. I know I love it when I see that on blogs so really I should already know to do that ha!

That's it for me today. What's on your craft desk? Please feel free to drop me a comment and I will get this blog thing going again. It feels good to be back.

Cheers, Andrea

MFT Kindness stamp set and dies

Andrea here!
I finally got my craft room clean enough for me to make a card.
I did enlist hubby's help- it was that messy
Ooops

I broke open my new stamp set from MFT- Kindness with complimenting dies.
It is important to note that the dies do not cut out the words from the stamp set
Instead they are complimenting dies to the stamps

On my card I used a die and a stamp from the set
Holy cow does this stamp set have a lot of stamps to choose from
First I stamped a MFT background stamp in Whimsical Woodgrain
stamped on a kraft background in brown ink
Then I die cut the kindness die in black cardstock
and one of the sentiments embossed in white on black card stock
Glossy accents on my die cut to make it pop….
That's it!
And I love it.

I hope you like my clean and simple card too!
Happy Saturday,
Andrea

Beautiful Girl stamps and dies by MFT

I took a break from my Christmas card making and dug out my dusty copics to colour up this sweet girl! This is a stamp called 'Beautiful Girl' by My Favorite Things (MFT). I paper pieced her dress using a 6x6 paper pack from Doodlebug called Petite Prints. Matched perfectly with my Doodlebug card base using a 12x12 page cut to 4 ¼ by 5 ½. I finished it up with some enamel dots but I have to say I made the pink enamel dots with one of my fave products right now- Nuvo Crystal drops Glitter Sherbert Shimmer. I love making my own enamel dots in any size!

What's on your craft table right now? I highly recommend once in awhile taking a break from all the red and green a lot of us are working with and break out a non holiday card! Keeps the mojo fresh.

Cheers, Andrea

Still loving my Hero Arts Deer Stamp set and dies

I love this set….deerly
hee hee!
In all seriousness I can't get enough of seeing this deer stamp set come to life as you put together the layered images. I do recommend stamping in a dark ink first to 'stain' your stamps to make the images easier to see. First time it took me many times to get one I was happy with but this time with my stained stamps it was no trouble at all!
My card is made with the Hero Arts stamp set and dies and MME Comfort and Joy papers. Here's another tip. I did not take apart my dies in the kit as there were many little ones I was sure to lose. Instead when I stamped the deer I arranged the dies to cut out the deer perfectly on a larger piece of paper. This also allowed me to cut out all the small pieces without taking it apart. Now I tried lining up the stamps to stamp on the die cuts but it was hard to see on my light desktop. So I got a piece of dark paper and put the die cuts on it. This made the white die cuts easy to see on the black paper and so easy to now line up with the stamps and make them perfect!

How are your Christmas cards coming along? I've got 4 down and 30 to go LOL!

Cheers, Andrea

"Fawning" over Hero Arts Deer stamp set!

Seriously…Seriously!!!!

I'm in love with the Hero Arts Deer Stamp set and dies. It is a layering set so you get a dimensional look to your image. Here's a tip when using clear layering stamps if you are having trouble seeing the image to layer them. Stamp them in a black ink first to 'stain' the stamp. Makes lining it up even easier!
I paired it up with My Mind's Eye (MME) Comfort & Joy line of paper. This paper has a gorgeous rustic Christmas look. I can't get enough of it! A few sequins and BAM! A gorgeous card. At least I think so LOL.

And sending out a big hello to all the ladies at SGD's Fall Retreat. Wish I was there!

Cheers, Andrea

Having Fun with Prima's Bayou Flora layering stamps

I had a great time playing with my new Prima layering stamps
I used the Bayou Flora set
Please don't ask me the name of the flowers
I am lost when it comes to gardening hee hee!

It took me a bit to figure out how best to match colours with each stamp
A tip is that you want to use your lightest ink on your solid flower image stamp
I worked on scratch paper first to match up my colours
and also to figure out how to line up the images
Once I figured it out it became easy
Using my MISTI to stamp the images also helped IMMENSELY!
So glad I bit the bullet and got one!

Hope you have a wonderful crafty day too!
